Design/Build Roof Replacement
Naval Support Activity
Watermark was awarded design-build contract with Naval Facilities Engineering Command Mid-Atlantic (NAVFAC) for the roof replacement of Building #8 at the Naval Support Activity (NSA) in Philadelphia, PA. This project involved renovation of a building within a historic district. Work occurred in an occupied space that required significant project phasing and close coordination with building occupants. The exterior of the building was upgraded with ramps, stairs, guard rails, and hand rails, as required, complying with building and life safety codes. Exterior doors, windows, and roof structures were painted. The majority of Building #8 serves as a gymnasium to support the physical readiness of the military population stationed at NSA Philadelphia and its tenant commands.
