Roof Replacement Design

Watermark prepared design documents for the replacement of the existing, single-ply ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) roofing system. Work involved preparing an Alternatives Analysis Design Study which identified and evaluated 5 roofing system types suitable for installation on the building. The Design Study recommended a white thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing system for installation. The roof, covering approximately 52,000 SF of area, had significant complexity due to the 94 roof penetrations including curb and equipment mounting. Based on the results of the Design Study, Watermark prepared 65%, 100%, and Final Design submissions (architectural, structural, and mechanical engineering disciplines), coordinated independent technical reviews, and participated in design review meetings.
